An explosive new drama from “one of the most dynamic playwrights around” (Hindustan Times) Purva Naresh, based on the book by internationally renowned journalist Amana Fontanella-Khan (The Guardian, Reuters, Vogue India), Pink Sari Revolution explores the real life struggle of the 400,000-member strong Gulabi Gang and its formidable leader, Sampat Pal.

Instantly recognisable in their blazing pink saris and for campaigning for women’s rights both in India and on an international stage, this true story follows the gang’s investigation into why a young girl has been thrown into prison in the dead of night.

Conceived and developed over two years by Suba Das with a team of internationally acclaimed Indian and British Indian artists, Pink Sari Revolution fuses drama, music and movement to retell the powerful and moving story of one girl’s imprisonment, and one woman’s fight for her freedom.
